I led a small team to redesign the Alligator’s Web site and implement a CMS. We aimed for a modern, grid-based layout that highlights the best content and increases interactivity and usability.
Based on a printed mock-up provided by AMJ Inc., I hand-coded a Web site using standards-compliant CSS/XHTML, Flash, PHP, Microformats and the Google Maps API.
I’m a multimedia journalist at CNN.com. I graduated from the University of Florida, where I gave up my weeknights to lead online operations at The Independent Florida Alligator. I’ve also worked as a freelance online producer at The Miami Herald, a Web developer at UF’s Office of the University Registrar and interned for The Gainesville Sun.
I’ve spent much of my waking life in front of a computer and listen to music constantly. I also enjoy photography, video, books and food.
