I led a small team to redesign the Alligators Web site and implement a CMS. We aimed for a modern, grid-based layout that highlights the best content and increases interactivity and usability.
I designed and maintained a special report covering the Gators 2006 football championship. It includes a blog, a Q&A form, social bookmarking and photo galleries from every game.
I was part of the fall 2006 design team for the online version of Orange & Blue Magazine, a student publication of UFs College of Journalism and Communications.
I recorded interviews with each of the Gainesville bands at FMF 2006 and put together a package of eight audio slideshows in a Flash template I built. It accompanied an article I wrote about the festival.
I trained three photographers to gather audio with their assignments on election night. I edited the audio, organized the images and produced a Soundslides slideshow on deadline.
Based on a printed mock-up provided by AMJ Inc., I hand-coded a Web site using standards-compliant CSS/XHTML, Flash, Microformats and the Google Maps API.
I designed and maintained a special report detailing the events leading up to Danny Rollings execution. It includes Flash video, audio, slideshows, documents and an interactive map.
A co-worker and I used the Google Maps API to plot places mentioned in the Alligators 2007 New Student Edition. When requested, driving directions are embedded onto the page.
I built a Flash slideshow template that loads external photos, captions and audio. I used a photo essay on a homeless musician in Berlin and interviewed the photographer.
I built a SlideShowPro photo gallery of residents facing the aftermath of three tornadoes that struck central Florida. I also made an interactive map to display where damages occured.
